Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will officially visit Uzbekistan on April 22–23, where he will hold talks with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Foreign Minister of this country, Bakhtiyor Saidov. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova here.

"On April 22–23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will officially visit Uzbekistan. The visit that will take place in Tashkent includes a meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and extensive negotiations with the foreign minister of this country," — said Zakharova during a briefing.

The main focus of the talks will be on further developing the strategic partnership between Moscow and Tashkent, regional security issues, and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
