A man who stabbed his acquaintance to death in Bukhara has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.

Due to a family disagreement, the man stabbed the deceased young man's mother as well.

A man who stabbed and killed an acquaintance due to a disagreement in Kogon city of Bukhara region was sentenced to 23 years in prison. This was reported by Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court.

It was reported that the murder took place on October 13, 2024. The defendant, due to a disagreement, aimed to deliberately kill his acquaintances N.A. (female) and U.D. (male), stabbing them in various parts of their bodies with a kitchen knife. As a result, U.D. died from his injuries at the city medical association.

The criminal case regarding this murder was concluded at the Kogon city court for criminal cases.

The court sentenced the accused to 20 years of imprisonment for deliberate manslaughter under part 2 of section "g" of Article 97 of the Criminal Code, and to 15 years of imprisonment under parts 2 "a", "g" of Article 97 through Article 25. In addition, based on Article 59 of the Criminal Code (for committing multiple crimes), a combined final sentence of 23 years of imprisonment was assigned.
