Last year, in the district of Qo'shrabot, a report was made about a girl, an 8th-grade student, who was kidnapped and raped by a group of individuals.
According to the report of the General Prosecutor's Office, on October 6, 2024, a minor girl filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office, claiming that she was raped by several individuals on October 2 and asked for legal action to be taken against them.
An investigation was conducted based on the complaint, and during the preliminary investigative actions, it was discovered that an official from the Qo'shrabot district prosecutor's office was involved in this case, and on October 30 of the current year, he was dismissed from the prosecutorial bodies by a relevant order of the regional prosecutor.
Preliminary investigative actions and the results of the medical and biological examinations appointed by the court led to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 119 of the Criminal Code by the prosecutor's office of the Ishtixon district of Samarkand region on October 31 of the current year, and it was sent to the internal affairs body for further investigation.
During the conducted investigation and rapid operational activities, 9 suspects were identified and involved in the investigation, and 8 individuals, including the former clerk of the Qo'shrabot district prosecutor's office, were detained in a procedural manner, while measures are being taken to detain one more suspect.
Currently, the criminal case is under investigation and being monitored.
